Your New VX2 Gear

Your new VX2 Gear has just arrived and we are sure that you are excited to take it out for a ride ASAP!

However, before you get started, read this mini installation guide so that you get the best out of your VX2 Gear.

Important Features

  1. Beast Mode: Ready for more speed? Tap the ON button five times to shift from Mode 1 (max speed of 16mph) to Mode 2 (max speed of 19mph). The scooter won’t beep or react in any way, but top speed will change. Lift the rear tire off of the ground with your foot and thumb the throttle in zero-start mode to check the firmware limited top speed.
Make sure to watch this >>> Youtube Short explanation.

  2. Eco or Sport Mode: Tap the ON button once to switch from Eco-Mode to Sport-Mode (the bottom right-hand corner will switch from “1 ECO” to “2 Sport”).

  3. Cruise Control: Tap the ON button three times to activate Cruise-Mode for those long, relaxing rides. Want to revert? Just tap the ON button three times again.
(A quick note: This does NOT set your current speed as the “cruise” speed, like it does with a car. Rather, when you have cruise mode enabled and have been at max throttle or at the same speed for several seconds in a row (about 5 seconds), then you can release the throttle and it will keep your set speed.
Turn off by using brake or releasing and re-applying throttle again for more than ½ second.)

  4. Kick Start to Zero-Start: Tap the ON button four times to switch your scooter from requiring a kick to start to starting from zero with just the throttle. We recommend that new riders keep their scooters in kick-to-start mode for safety.

Tire pressure

The tires may have lost some pressure during the time in the box. Driving with too little pressure can lead to various damages to the scooter, as an important job of the tire is to cushion the scooter. Be sure to inflate both tires before your first ride. Depending on the driver's weight, the tire pressure should be between 2.5 and 3 bar. (36 psi and 43.5 psi)

If you’re looking for a smoother ride, you may want to keep your tires inflated towards the lower end of the recommended amounts. In this case, a softer tire means less road shock, but also less range.

Connect with the VMAX app

Our app offers you a lot of additional information about your scooter, such as the mileage of the current trip or your battery level in percentage, and helps you plan your tours in advance, including charging stops.

But do not worry: If you do not have your cell phone with you or lend the scooter to your friends, the app is a purely optional part of your scooter. It works easily even without your cell phone. To connect your cell phone to your scooter via Bluetooth, you need the VMAX E-SCOOTER app for Android or iOS.
