Cleaning the scooterUpdated 2 months ago
Your scooter will be best if it is cleaned regularly. To avoid causing any damage, we have put together some tips and tricks for you here. Also, always follow the instructions in your scooter's manual.
Before you start, disconnect your scooter from the power supply, switch it off and carefully close the charging socket. Never use a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner!
- For basic cleaning of the scooter, all you need is a bucket of warm water and a sponge. Add a splash of cleaning agent and you have everything you need.
Be careful, though: the moving parts of the scooter are lubricated - a grease remover is not suitable for these areas! - Make sure that no water comes into contact with electrical components or connections - to clean these please use either a compressed air gun or a brush
- The display can be damaged by both cleaning agents and coarse sponges - it is best to use a dry microfiber cloth
- To ensure optimal braking performance, make sure that no lubricants come into contact with your brakes or tires.
- Cleaning the scooter is an excellent opportunity to check all parts of the scooter for damage. Strong vibrations during driving can cause screwed connections to come loose - if you notice anything, avoid driving until all connections are tight.
