E1/ F1 – Brake sensors faulty
What does the error mean?
The error codes F1 or E1 indicate an error in the electric recuperation brake sensor. While error F1 means that the system's self-test failed, E1 indicates an error during operation.
The F1 error usually occurs when a brake lever is pressed while the scooter is still starting. Please ensure you do not pull any levers or press any buttons for the first few seconds after starting the scooter.
Error E2 typically occurs due to a communication issue between the brake lever and the display. This may be caused by a loose plug connection or damage to the brake lever's sensor.
How can the error be fixed?
If you are under warranty, please contact us using this service form or contact a dealer. Our team will conduct a thorough inspection of the scooter to identify and address the source of the error.
We are happy to assist with your case, even if it is outside the warranty period or involves accident damage. Alternatively, you can inspect the wiring yourself and order a replacement brake lever if needed.
Note: The error may stem from either the regenerative brake (right) or the combination brake (left), as both electronically control the engine brake.
However, there is no need to worry, the mechanical drum brake has no electronic components, so the main braking system is fully operational in any case, even if you have an F1 / E1 error.
