E3 Communication Error 

What does the error mean? 

The error code E3 means the display does not receive any feedback from the electronics and cannot transmit any data.  

The cause can usually be found along the data cable in the steering column with the plug connection as a vulnerable point.  

How can the error be fixed? 

It is often enough to remove the steering head and disconnect the plug connection and then plug it back together again after 1 to 2 minutes.
