Error code 22 – False signals from thumb throttle
What does the error mean?
Error code 22 occurs when your scooter's electronics cannot interpret the signal from the throttle trigger. The reasons behind this can be varied: either the throttle trigger sends an incorrect signal, it is interpreted incorrectly by the display or electronics, or the plug connection has become loose.
How can the error be fixed?
The error can often be traced back to the plug connection in the handlebar head.
Remove the 4 screws that you connected during initial startup and disconnect both cables for a few seconds. Then check whether the error still occurs and if it is fixed. Carefully place the cables back into the handlebars and reattach the handlebars.
If that does not help, then the error is in the connection between the display and the throttle lever or in the throttle lever sensor. To proceed here, see our instructions for replacing the throttle lever in the repair guides. Disconnect the throttle lever from the display and reconnect the connector.
